Jean, Eunice and Suzanne will spend the next week on the road. We are headed for Maynard Dixon Country in Southern Utah – we will check out the plein air gathering in Mount Carmel Junction (near Zion National Park) and attend some demos by plein air painters of note. Naturally, we will paint. Zion N. P. and Bryce Canyon will be our subjects – OH JOY!
Our intention is to post our adventures and photos here as we go. Eunice has a smart phone and Suzanne and Jean have tablet computers.
Our first day will take us across the Nevada desert to the town of Ely. We will spend the night there. Our plan is to get up early and paint in The Great Basin National Park in the morning. We have heard it is spectacular country. Seen by few – painted by even fewer.
