Painting on the San Andreas Faultline with the Roosters

Michele, Skip and I painted at Mission San Juan Bautista this week – it was a freezing cold day and not very inviting – but – we got out there and got a small painting done despite the conditions.  My painting was only 6″ x 6″ in size.  We decided on the interior courtyard of the Mission to get a little shelter from the wind.

We had feathered friends visiting us most of the time – the Mission San Juan Bautista Roosters – photo attached.  They are very beautiful and appear friendly.  However, if you try to push your luck, they come at you with their fighting claws and stretched out ruffled necks as a warning.    These guys are serious!

After painting and freezing all afternoon we felt like skiers do after a cold day on the slopes – most satisfied and wanting a hot tea or chocolate.
