Ann’s historic and natural history murals are included in CA libraries, state parks and museums, including the Oakland Museum, Santa Clara Mission, and the Santa Cruz Natural History Museum. Included in statewide collections, her figurative and landscape pastel and acrylic paintings reflect her classical training; a BA in Art with honors from UCSC, an MFA in Painting from CA State University, Long Beach, and three-years study at the Art Students’ League of NYC. An experienced studio arts instructor at both Cabrillo College and Monterey Peninsula Colleges, Ann’s work and teaching reflect her visual love and understanding of the California landscape a strong sense of color, form and imagination; an understanding of both dramatic contrast and evocative detail; and an ability to share her personal artistic vision with others.
